So many pilots have foreflight, but seems no one likes updating airport info in the comments section. Fees, runway and taxiway conditions, whether or not tie downs are available, etc. If you go in foreflight and so many airports comments are years old.

This is one of those things the FAA has not made a decision, DPE have differing opinions. I don’t think all the FSDO have the same opinions.

Think about all the features, and how many do you actually use. I find a large majority of foreflight, I don’t use those features.

I this sums it all up.

Especially when something has been done millions of times over many, many years. But some clown decides to make a video and say how he is right. It’s like making a video validates their opinion.

Would be great if there pilots made those reports more often. I have ATIS, asos to tell me what the bases are. But tops pireps would be more useful

Long Island crash about a year ago. Piper was out doin maneuvers, in base, lost its engine. One tank was almost full, the other bone dry. If he would have switched they wouldn’t have made the news.

I have my students plan 60 of 70 miles away just so there is never a question.

The B tops out at 7k. If you are VFR why worry about the routing.

So new question is, knowing this guys keeps his planes in such a condition that you have to jump out because there are so many red flags. Would you even want him as a safety pilot in your own plane?

Just curious if you all arguing about being 500 feet below the clouds maintain the 2000 feet horizontal at all times without asking for SVFR? That’s pretty significant distance to be always from the clouds.

People need to stop asking the FAA questions. All it does is narrow a gray area to a definite answer, which has a negative impact.
