The Quad City will be held this weekend (June 18-19) at Davenport, Ia. http://www.quadcityairshow.com/2011/index.html
Usually a good event and I am looking forward to it to spending a day looking at cool airplanes. Don't know how correct this is but I think it is the first show for the Blue Angels after a little hiatus.

May have to consider going to that...haven't been in a few years. And after this year, we won't be close to it anymore so this year is a great time to go.

That is a good airshow. I got to work on the ramp at MLI when the Snowbirds were there WAAAAY back in 2000. They did a mini show for us since we were too far away to see the main show at DVN.

I used to sell beer at that airshow when I lived in the QCs from 1993 - 2000. It really is a quality show at a nice airport. The only downside is (or was) that the military teams parked at KMLI (10 nm south of KDVN) so you didn't get to watch the takeoff or landings, or visit with the pilots.

I have always enjoyed the quad cities show. Unfortunately I have to many commitments this weekend to make it this year.

Ok, thanks.
Missed that earlier. Thought maybe it was time for a move to Florida or Arizona.

I spent all of yesterday at the Airshow and of course the Blue Angels were the highlight. A close second was looking at the static displays....some reason the Stearman's really captured my attention this year. The static display turnout was not as big as years past. An active T-6 (turboprop) was painted retro for the Navy Aviation Centennial. All in all a good event.

Will be interesting to see what impact fuel prices will have on attendance at OSH. Hope to see you there.

Expecting a large Navy presence at Airventure this year.

I am going to be really busy this summer but I am determined to go up for two to three days. The wife is also excited to go up so I think it will happen.
