I read an article last year about a company that is making bank off of selling festivus poles. I think it was a fence company that essentially retooled for the month of December.

Let's see...

SCOTT!!! You haven't come to Pennsylvania to visit!

PETE!!! You too!

Yeah, same for the rest of you who haven't come to visit!

Ok, I'm done. Come visit next year. :)

Whay not anchor it to the floor and ceiling and really have a holiday?...or is that Holiday?

I am very concerned that I am seeing plastic and aluminum poles being used for Festivus these day instead of the traditional iron ones.

I say put the Fe back into FeStivus!! Use an iron pole!

I thought that Festivus poles were supposed to be aluminum?

According to Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Festivus

Wikipedia said:
The holiday's celebration, as shown on Seinfeld, includes an aluminum "Festivus pole", practices such as the "Airing of Grievances" and the "Feats of Strength", and the labeling of easily explainable events as "Festivus miracles".

If the creator of the holiday says it's aluminum, then I'll go with aluminum.

Unless it's more expensive, in which case I'll cheap out and buy an iron pole. :D

Maybe I should plant Festivus poles in my back yard like I've done with Christmas trees...

I thought you were supposed to put the pole outside and see how many kids got stuck to it!

So I guess that spare copper pipe I have won't work. Neither will the PVC.

Guess I have to settle for the 5 foot antenna mast.

I thought you were supposed to put the pole outside and see how many kids got stuck to it!

There's already been a story in the news about that happening this year.
