. . . . would NOT be able to handle this total piece of equipment, I'd bet. http://pressherald.mainetoday.com/newsupdate.php?updates/windmill-crane-headed-to-kibby-mountain

Sorry there's no photo. Reed & Reed is just up the road a few miles from my house. They're in the process of building a new bridge ¾ mile up from me. It's the only way onto this island, and was the first bridge in Maine to be "marked" for replacement after the Minneapolis bridge disaster(same type of construction). Photos of after they "set-over" the present road bed(Dec. 22 night time) for temporary use can be seen in "Georgetown Narrow Bridge Replacement" gallery in http://www.DistinctiveViews.printroom.com.

Earlier(summer shots) of the project can be seen in the "Georgetown - Five Islands" gallery.

EDIT: Attempts at opening the Distinctive Views Link -- if using FIREFOX-- may get a Bad Request notice. The site is having problems with their server in California. However, Internet Explorer will work.

Sounds like a Manitowoc 16000. Worth getting photos of. 440 ton maximum lift capacity, basic machine weight around 305 tons - big-big! Can be self-erecting, if it has the right options. Pretty neat to watch the monster put itself together...
