allows the download of FAA airports and navaid information. It can be downloaded as GPX file format, and uploaded to a variety of GPS systems (via intermediate software).

The Topografix software works with a variety of GPS systems

Garmin Mapsource 6.1.12 reads the GPX file directly for Garmin users.
 
so now the cheap people can use car gps? that's pretty cool.
 
Depends on the car GPS. If it has direct routing (off road) it should work fine. I use a Garmin GPS V which is a pretty good all-around GPS (for its time).
