Seneca Down in Oklahoma

Flightaware track shows them cruising at about 200 mph at 6500’. Suddenly about 1 h 19 m into the flight, there was a descent at about -1000 fpm, and about 100 mph. Best glide speed, maybe?

Some turns about halfway through that descent, then headed toward open fields.

Twin engine, so probably not engine failure. No fire. Prop looks like there’s an unbent blade, so maybe it wasn’t turning when it landed on the field.

Looks a lot like fuel starvation.

Hope the pilot recovers from the injuries.

"They" isn't, and has never been, restricted to the plural, here in the US. It's used all the time, for example when the person isn't ok, and because of the fire you have no idea if the person was male or female. I use it all the time because I'm too lazy to edit standard documents based on the gender of the person I'm writing the performance eval/plan/review for. I'm not a fan of spin the wheel and pick the gender of the day either, but let's not screw up the English language over it.
