I absolutely loved Gilbert. So funny. A bit of a comedians' comedian, like Norm McDonald, although not as much as Norm. But I have always gravitated toward such comedians. Gutted by this loss on top of Norm McDonald's recently.

In myotonic dystrophy, muscles are often unable to relax after contraction.

That sounds hideous.

Now I know how he was able to hold the "I just got kicked in the bonch" face for hours, and maybe that voice was a serious medical situation.
