Here’s a twist on the usual fuel vs water issue we often deal with.
A very old accident.


 
I didn't realize that any civilian aircraft used water injection in a turbine engine.

Many years ago, I flew a round trip from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau on a BAC-111. It was a short hop and we were probably light, maybe they didn't need the water injection on those flights.

FYI: There was a popular civilian turbine helicopter model that used water/alcohol as a stop gap measure until more powerful engines were designed. And it was always the young guy who had to mix and service the little tank in the baggage compartment. ;)
