Final Approach
My first colonoscopy was a freaking nightmare. The prep was awful, the anesthesia had me wandering around lost and half out of it for hours, a real ordeal. Fast forward 10 years, the last one was nowhere near as bad. Prep was almost a non-event compared to trying to gag down a full gallon of whatever concoction they used the first time - this one was two quart doses over a much shorter time period. The Propofol was at least an order of magnitude better than the old stuff. I didn't wake up in the middle like the first time. Of course the best thing is hearing, "See you back in 10 years" instead of 5 years or less.
