I've been watching ACA Scouts on TAP for a bit, and can't help but notice Northwest Backcountry Aircraft seems to be sitting on a bunch of 2018 models both new and used. Almost like they can't move the new inventory, and folks who did buy one have traded it in for something else.

So is there something up with that model year?

Like a carbon cub?
The difference being most carbon Cubs are light sport and take off stupid short. I have my own opinions of why carbon Cubs suck too though.

I think the Scouts aren’t very desirable because they don’t do any one thing particularly well. They don’t get off very short compared to a Husky, CC, or Supercub. They don’t haul very much compared to the Husky or Supercub. And last I heard they didn’t have a window that opens on the left.

Is the ban on fish spotting an issue? I can't remember when that happened. It was a major job opportunity for Scouts.
