A couple days after the FAA fines a passenger $26,000 for assaulting a SW airlines flight attendant, another passenger is taken into custody for assaulting a SW operations agent.

The only difference between “then” and “now”, is coverage and the fact they’re actually doing a little enforcement.

Passenger misconduct has been horrible since deregulation and cheap fares...

Airline crews can tell you there is an increase in the aggression and the degree of bad behavior. But yes, the media is magnifying and sensationalizing it. Back “then” it was basically drunks that caused a stir. Now, people aren’t even drunk and they act stupid.

Yea, like fist fights over mask mandates... wether you agree are not with the mandate, you sure as hell know well before getting on the airplane you'll be forced to wear one or get removed from the flight...

...I just don't get the attitudes sometimes.

It's one thing to be obstinate or vocal about whether you think you should have to wear a mask, or turn off your phone, or whatever (which is bad enough), but when did physically attacking people become the way to settle any problem?

Of course, the airlines bring a lot of this nonsense on themselves. You treat people with a culture of disinterest, you get it back.
