If you are going to install a lithium battery keep in mind there is no free lunch. Spend the money and get a properly designed battery with a BMS. You also need to insure your aircraft has a crowbar for over voltage protection. Lithium batteries properly constructed and installed in aircraft are fine. If you are going to slap a cheap Chinese lithium built for a jetski ect… I wish you good luck.

Sounds like some forms of these new batteries could benefit from having their own ejection system. Fire? Pull the Battery Ejection Handle! Hopefully it would burn out before hitting the ground, like an aerial flare.
