I'm headed to Alaska in October and will have some free time to fly, weather permitting.
I'm due for a BFR, or whatever it is officially called, and have never been to or flown in Alaska.

Suggestions on where to check that box off at?

Try looking for flight training out of Palmer.

If you get in the air be sure to check out the Knik Glacier.

I haven't been to Alaska for a few years so I don't know any flight instructors working around Palmer.

How long are you going to be in state, and will you be any places other than Anchorage?

I'm a freelance CFI, and we have a 180HP 172 based at Merrill Field in Anchorage.
I'll PM.....

(admittedly, the floats idea is pretty cool)
