2021 MOSAIC update

Very informative link, thanks.

Summary: Everything previously rumored is dead. Something else will happen. Nobody knows what, but it will be simpler.

Did I miss something?

The new version of "Breaking News" is to say ... there really is no news to report!

Y’all keep your EAA dues paid up….I had a chat with Sean Elliot at breakfast in Oshkosh. He’s all over this and well connected.

Ok. You get it. What’s the verdict? Are we gonna get bigger faster planes to fly as a Sport Pilot or not? If so, when?
Maybe, maybe not, and nobody knows when.

OR…

Definitely, for sure, 2023.

OR…

something else.

And nobody really knows which.

What a bunch of gaslighting, that Johnson guy is incurring rank shepherding just to retain access. Access journalism writ large, and people cheerlead it. lol suckas.

No, we won't. There won't be an expansion of the category to give people rule-relaxed access to the old timey fac-built airplanes people can actually afford to own [especially if allowed to be treated like EAB]. People can read that sentence again, slowly, if they still don't get it. Ditto for those doing so under the motivation of medical regulatory relief.

If one's inside 20 years of the life expectancy in this Country and you can't legally PIC an EAB, figure out a way to bring someone along, cuz you ain't getting eff all regulatory relief in this decade. This thing jumped the shark already and it ain't even 2023. Justice delayed is justice denied afaic. Scofflaw, quit the hobby, or bring a seeing eye dog along, because waiting for Godot ain't gonna do ya any favors on this front.

Hell, they're still trying to figure out what the regs they wrote 30 years ago mean. They promise that’ll only take another 4 years. Yeah right.

I'm afraid the only game in town there is SLSA->ELSA + LSRM.

Exactly, more non-news for clicks & page views. FAA said they were developing working concepts and language, of course their views will change with progression on this topic.

The whole article was a confusing bloat of conflated content like opinions of Zoom meetings and airshows with an editorial on MOASIC.

Has Paul Bertorelli weighed in on this yet? :D
