Looking for p/n 31-207… new, overhauled, repaired, or used serviceable..

Is your existing one repairable? Those suckers aren't cheap if no. There is some wacky shop in the midwest that can repair/"overhaul" them for low hundreds.

I think the salvage yard in FL just took on a medium Baron that might use the same actuator (Propellerhead? I think), you might hit up their eBay store or give them a jingle. Otherwise, I'd punch that number into controller's parts search, take a deep breath, and see if you can find one priced in mere hundreds of dollars.

If you can't find that, there is an STC? Field Approval? that allows you to convert the cowl flaps to manual push-pull cables. In many scenarios, that work is probably cheaper and one-and-done solution. The sale of the other cowl flap actuator may subsidize the work and possibly put some avgas money into your pocket.
