I don't fly floats, but why would you start up your engine that close to another plane? I'd assume you'd push off at least the nose from the dock (if not the whole plane).

My thoughts as well. Hopefully some of the float experienced folks will chime in (zero experience for me), but nothing about that looked correct. My first thought was “where are you thinking you’re going?” When I saw it.
