Fell Down

At a recent hospitalization, I became weak and fell to the ground. I was found to have hypotension. The medical records show likely cause was from dehydration. The records also note that I was responsive to fluids.

I need to report the hypotension and the dizziness that caused me to fall. Will this one time event cause an issue in recertification?

I too had a syncope episode from dehydration, but because I had consumed ANY alcohol, I was labeled an abuser. I stood up too quickly and fainted, but the FAA considers this abuse since alcohol was consumed and I sustained an injury. $125k later and 2 years of fighting, I FINALLY got an SI. Good luck!

present it to your AME, as you must. the FAA may want the hospital and doctor records.

Will certainly depend on the diag code. If it's dehydration, you're probably fine. If they coded you with a heart problem, open your wallet.
