It's begun

Well I've had it. Between rising insurance costs, damaged old landing gear, and getting rusty. I'm getting rid of my taildragger. No, no you vultures I'm not selling my Cessna 180. That being said I AM going to be converting it to nosewheel. I've found an STC that will allow this and I've purchased early model 182 landing gear & gear boxes. Stiffeners to beef up my firewall and add the nosewheel are on their way as well. I estimate that even with conversion costs, insurance alone will have paid for it by 4/1/2035. Either way I'm done with taildraggers and I look forward to completing the conversion the rest of the way. No I don't want to hear any naysayers I've made up my mind.
