I’m having trouble finding o-rings or a seal kit for an early wide body 182 shimmy damper. The part number for the shimmy damper is 1442112 which according to the parts manual lines up with mid-year 1964 through 1966 year models...neither of which have a mcfarlane or aircraft spruce option. I’ve even put the o-ring part numbers into aircraft spruce with zero hits.

Any idea where I can find an o-ring / seal kit for this shimmy damper?

thx.

AN6227B o-rings are superseded to MS28775, there is not a direct match on the dash numbers so you’ll need to cross reference them, but they are readily available.

AN6227B10 -> MS28775-112
AN6227B22 -> MS28775-217

Only the heavy-duty shimmy dampers had the O-ring on the piston. Otherwise they only had the shaft and head O-rings. The light-duty damper has a piston with a groove for the O-ring. It helps;)
