apparently my local NWS office reported a Fallstreak or Holepunch cloud this am

Here's a nice video of them from a week or two ago over Bobby Dodd Stadium at Georgia Tech.

You can see the bottom fall out of the cloud layer. Pretty impressive.

Of course, it makes you wonder what kind of interesting experiments Tech is conducting to produce this phenomena. ;-)
