Mako

Who here as actually flown a Mako, and can offer feedback? Looks like a sweet plane, a cirrus in some ways but better, yet cheaper.

I've seen them at the airshows, but that's it. I wonder if they're easily insurable in today's market given the performance and hull value. Definitely a cool looking aircraft!

Looks to me like the old Lancair ES kit with a retractable nose gear modification. Probably doesn't fly much different from the ES.

They make me very curious, curious enough that I am going to call them, and maybe make a trip to the factory for a look. Hear so much about the cirrus, this looks nicer, yet cheaper. Wonder how they fly in real life.
