Who needs an Icon when you can have this for half the price and hassle?

If it was the experimental version, you can save even more on maintenance.

Cheers

Yeah, they started out as kit aircraft. Neat ones too, a friend had one for awhile. Taildragger, Retractable and Seaplane time all in the same ship. On his last flight my pal lost the engine on takeoff, fuel line came loose (engine vibrates some). He wasn't so sanguine to fly his Lanceair across the Atlantic after that.

The guy he sold it to soon sank it in a river and that was that.

Richard Bach owns one of these; named it "Puff" (after the legendary dragon, maybe?). He lives out near @Tom-D in the PNW, on Orcas. Had a bad accident some years back in it...hit power lines on approach into a friend's airstrip. Loved the airplane so much he sent it back to Florida to have SeaRey rebuild it for him.
