Private Airports - please take note

Complete drivel. First off, the FAA DOES NOT have the power to close airports. They can drop them from the list of airports or in some cases mark them as objectionable.
It has ALWAYS been incumbent on **ANY** airport manager to respond to the triennial surveys. You'd have to be in a prolonged coma to miss the FAA's mailings on this. Further, it's not a "permanent" anything even if you miss the filing. The worse that could happen is that you have to wait six months for the chart supplement and a year for the sectionals to put you back. The FAA regional Airport District Offices are about the most screwed up, inefficient things I've had to deal with in the FAA.
