Piper Cherokee push to talk switch

Oh, please, dear Lord, don't use PLUMBER'S acid paste flux. Be sure it is ROSIN based flux or you will be replacing a lot of parts and wires in a few years.

Jim
Of course. I guess I shouldn't have assumed and stated that specifically. Although everyone always cautions against it, and rightly so,I've never come across anyone who's made that egregious error. If you're buying solder for electronic work, you're generally not in the plumbing aisle, and I've never seen acid based flux in an electronic store or aisle. Your advice, as always, is sound.

How about 60/40 Tin/Lead solder instead of all lead solder. That all-lead is WAY too soft for permanent joints.
I guess I gotta get out more. Never seen all lead solder. Heck, you have to go looking for something OTHER than 60/40 if you really want to find it, don't you?
