[rant]I think I had some bad Horsey sauce...[rant]

For me, Arby's always sounds better than it tastes in practice. I guess that's because for Roast Beef, we always had Roy Rogers (back when Marriott still owned them) which was far superior.
Yes, I know, they've resurrected Roy's but they're a shadow of their former selves.

Roy's was the better place, by far. Arby's always tasted like the hunk o' beef that they cut sandwiches from was pressed together, while Roy's was real beef. Far better at Roy's. I liked the fries a bit better at Arby's, though.

These days, the thought of chain fast food makes my stomach churn a bit and most of the restaurants are disgusting inside.

Arby's has always had a special place in the Simpson's world:

"Oh, no you don't! If I can keep down Arby's I can keep down you!"

"I'm so hungry I could eat at Arby's!"

Yeah, the old Roy's sliced the meat as it went on the sandwich (after toasting the bun).

As for Homer, my favorite is still the lawsuit about the "all you can eat seafood" restaurant.
Lionel Hutz: Mrs. Simpson, in your own words, please tell us what happened after you and your husband were ejected from the restaurant.
Marge: We pretty much went straight home.
Lionel Hutz: Remember, Mrs. Simpson, you're still under oath.
Marge: We drove around until 3:00 in the morning looking for another open all-you-can-eat seafood restaurant.
Lionel Hutz: And when you couldn't find any?
Marge: (crying) We went fishing!
Lionel Hutz: Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, does this sounds like a man who had "all he could eat"?

Damn. Craving Arby's. I wish they did lettuce wrap.

I don't know if they still do, but someone ordered a lettuce wrap and wrote about it a few years ago:

Alternatively, Arby's just launched some wraps that I guess you could unroll the breading/tortilla/flat bread (whatever it is) from it?

Damn... I just made myself hungry...

Well, yeah, I mean I can just order three or four roast beef sandwiches, toss the buns, and throw it on a salad I guess. But I'm not going to do that today. I plan on fish and chips salad at the pub midtown this afternoon.

most of the restaurants are disgusting inside.

The Arby's here was always disgusting to go in. The carpet was torn, dirty and stained. The bathrooms were the same so I can only guess the kitchen area was the same. And it was insanely high priced, even for this area.

Finally, it closed. Starbucks took the building, tore it down and built a new one. Even tore out the parking surface area and put in new.

I had Arby's this year prior to the pandemic. I remembered it as a kid, and it did not disappoint. I liked it. But then again, I drowned that roast beef in Arby Sauce (just like I did as a kid). A roast beef and cheddar sandwich on an onion bun just sounds awesome right now.

Lunch today was vegetable curry with tofu, no rice... but I added the Huy Fong Chili Garlic sauce. Mmmm.....
