Anyone have any luck finding a shop to calibrate a Collins VIR-350 receiver? The thing is older than me. Was it quick and painless or slow and cost prohibitive?

I'm right at 4° deviation between my 2 navs and I'm just thinking ahead to when it creeps up to 5°

Stellar Avionics did both my collins radios, nav and com in my sundowner. Excellent work and a quick turn around.

Thanks. Did you have to fly in? Or did you slide out the receivers and ship them out? Do the nav indicators have to be calibrated too? Thanks for putting up with my stupid questions. I'm feeling so green  What ball park are we in? Half AMU?

I don’t remember the cost. Give them a call and see how they want you to deliver the units. Mine were boxed up and sent by my avionics shop.

No question is stupid. Trust me we have all been there in the learning process. You will end up keeping a file folder for all part suppliers, shops, and anything else related to flying.
