Are there any issues with getting an ADS-B waiver/deviation to ferry an airplane out of the DC FRZ? The ADAPT system approves it but I'm wondering if I'm missing anything? Would prefer not to get shot down.
Thanks,
Hish

Call Potomac and ask. You'll need to coordinate it beforehand and day of anyway. I did not have any issues moving an aircraft with inop mode C out of the SFRA.

I have moved without MODE C out of the FRZ when it was still shutdown hard.

I've moved planes NORDO out of the SFRA more recently.

You just have to let Potomac approach know, schedule the time, and then call them when you are leaving. I did it about five years ago with a plane that was having transponder issues.

I had my transponder failing on AdsB In the Atlanta Bravo area. My Avionics shop was not at my field. I tried calling by phone from the ground with no luck. I called on the radio (from the ground) and they gave me a discrete code. I took off under the veil but well within the 30 mile zone. They asked me to make quick contact after takeoff and to report my altitude and gave me parameters.

Now it the time to do it! So little traffic.
