Been trying to get shots of this plane for over a year. It was supposed to be one of my first shoots for Pipers magazine, but it rained a lot last year and Jeff couldn't use his grass runway. Then most recently it seemed it was cloudy every time we tried to meet up. Finally we got a good day and it was a lot of fun!

Something unusual caught my attention when he formed up on us. His wheels were spinning! He said it has something to do with the shape of the wheel pants. Looked like he was trying to gain on us!

Beautiful pics!!!
your work is just amazing
Purdy plane and purdy pics. It is nice to have a continuous source for desktop images. Thank you for posting all your air to air shots.
Nice work.
Sweet plane and photography!
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing. There aren’t many good inflight photos of the Clipper around.
I really enjoy sharing photos here. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the great comments! Thank you all.

What an excellent story. Thank you so much for posting. I suppose it now qualifies as a LSA, correct? Photos are terrific too

36 gallons of gas, plus 584 lbs of pax and bags all held aloft by an O-235? Holy cow! They sure don't build them like they used to!

Great work! I have a friend at the museum who wants to do air to air pics of my 140, but I cant imagine them holding up to Jacks work.
