She lived a full aviation life. Most in the Frederick MD area knew her or had a check ride with her. I did.

She was prolific. It was a result of her (not because of any particular wrong doing, just your typical FAA agita) that they banned DPEs doing more than two checkrides in a day (now relaxed to three).

I was reminded of this thread the other day.

During my PPL ride, as a distraction, I was offered a piece of gum. I politely declined.

I was flying with my younger son recently. On downwind, I opened his window, which he enjoyed very much. By the time we got to the base leg, though, he asked me to close it because he was getting cold. I thought for a moment, and politely declined.
