Is there a way to replace the gasket or O-ring that goes to the eye-ball vents? I’ve got one vent with the gasket or O-ring missing that allows ram air to pass, which is not copasetic in the winter time. It’s the gasket or O-ring on the operable flat-plate circle that rotates to regulate air flow. Here’s a general pic for reference:

I was afraid of that. The replacement vents are in the neighborhood $150. It’d be a shame to spend that kind of money for what amounts to a $0.10 o-ring.

Are there specifics that would help clarify?

Aircraft, brand vent, part number, etc, etc. FYI: these type parts are ripe for looking into salvage or used market.;)

My man...good tip. This is for my 310. I’ve got half a mind to scavenge from the 3rd row, as I don’t have pax back there often (usually just the dog). But it may turn into a production just getting to the backside of the interior panel to get the mounted vent free.

As far as brand vent and PN, I’d have to do some homework. Whatever was OEM in ‘67 is my guess so far.
