More computer woes on 737 Max

I'm willing to bet if the aircraft was in service and wasn't the subject of scrutiny, these little systems faults wouldn't make headlines. A SB or AD would be issued, and the problem would be remedied in due time.
 
Boeing is in the aviation penalty box,
perhaps for cause?

Old news. This was a headline a month ago.
Question is if FAA or anyone else cares about this new issue or if just the media does?
