Southeast PoA [Post Xmas Burgers] - GMU [2020]

Let's keep trying - maybe we can make it by the 4th of July.

How about Jan 25 with a backup of Feb 1?

Doesnt look like enough souls are going to be there due to weather. I hate to announce, but looks like it officially called off.

If pilots still want to meet by all means.

Also if someone else wants to be the organizer feel free to start a nee thread with a new date.

Weather forecast for Atlanta and Greenville are better. GMU is forecasted to have a 5000' ceiling at 10 am this morning, and going up to Scattered at 20,000' later tonight.

I’d be up for the 25th. I think I’m going to skip today. I leave tomorrow for a week in the work plane, so going to spend the time with the family.

I'm up for the 25th. I should be able to resolve my alternator problem by then.

25th is fine by me too.

Should be out of annual by then and maybe even instrument current.

We had a great time. Even got to see a very nice rainbow while we were at the Runway Cafe, deep colors.

What plane did you fly? A Cirrus? Or the Baron?

Cirrus. I bought into a co-ownership this past fall.

I finished flying the Barron at the end of 2018. We did a lot of downsizing work last year. I knew I wouldn't have a lot of time to fly, so I dropped out of that group. Turns out really lucky as it was down for awhile for an extensive annual.

We have a buyer for the prior home and should close this month. With all the downsizing done I now have more time for flying. :D

Just grabbed one en route. IFR from RYY to GMU, VFR on the way back.

Thanks again Wayne!
