Hey folks,
Curious what ya'll using to get current Wx info DURING flight?

You are confusing the sources with the means to display it. In-flight you basically have SiriusXM or FIS-B via ADS-B in as the data sources. That said I use FIS-B displayed on both my EFIS and EFB (GarminPilot).

To get aviationweather.gov, you're either flying down low for cell reception or you have some really powerful towers nearby...

I've never gotten cell service above 7,000' which is where I normally cruise, at least not in my area.

I have both XM (696) and FIS-B via Stratus 3 (iPad). I like the fidelity and graphics on the XM and constantly bounce them off each other.

I receive and display both XM-WX (via an Aera 510) and FIS-B (via an NGT-9000 and displayed on my EFB). I haven't cut the ties to XM yet as FIS-B is occasionally flaky, but I hope that was just the previous software issues on the NGT-9000. There are some important differences between the two WX sources.
