I came across a slew of nostalgic photos of the great Scenic City (Chattanooga) while digging around on the new to me site Pinterest. I really like looking at historical photos and artifacts like these and thought they were so cool, I had to share. Feel free to share some historical photos of your city.

Original Shakey's pizza parlor, J Street, Sacramento. That is the first one. It is no longer there, but the building is. Yes, I've eaten there as a starving student back when it was still a Shakey's.

I enjoy photos like those too.

I will tell anyone who's not "in" on the story that Chattanooga has really become a nice place for a weekend getaway. 30 years ago, it was a bit of a dump, but now, it has a great downtown area complete with nice restaurants and bars and a very nice aquarium. That is in addition to the legacy tourist places like Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain. A little West on the ridgeline that crosses just NW of the city, is one of the US's premier hang gliding sites...
