How the FAA handles an omission???

No one ever talks about how the FAA handles more common omissions. Like, the doctor visits people have forgotten to put on there record that were not grounding, or any other aerodynamically unimportant factor.

All everyone talks about is people not disclosing DUI's, disability or diabetes.

What happens to those caught with an omission upon the common cold?

You are signing a statement that you are not intentionally falsifying or omitting information. It would be hard for the government to prove that you intentionally falsified/omitted information that was obviously of no consequence, and that a normal person could reasonably forget (like visiting a doc 2.8 years ago about an issue of minor concern.

the instruction says "Do not report common, occasional illnesses such as colds or sore throats." so there is that

If you don't suffer from unrecognized medical history amnesia, you're not a pro pilot worth a ****. Do your worst! "I do not recall, Senator....." :D

Prove?

It’s administrative law, you have to prove you didn’t and they will also be the ones who determine that.
