Piper Owner's Groups?

Any thoughts and/or experiences about the benefits of joining any of the Piper owner's groups for a very budget-conscious PA28-140 owner? Piper Owner Society (although I confess their acronym gives me even less confidence than this forum's acronym) vs. Piper Flyer vs. ...? I'm an AOPA member, and most of the time feel like a portion of my dues are spent well and I receive some benefit. Would an owner's group be similarly, or more, worthwhile?

I happen to love Piper Owner Society and I don't even own a Piper! I might be biased though since I'm their photographer! It's worth the membership just for the magazine!

I tell my friends I read that mag for the articles. But most of them know it's for the titillating pictures of racy airplanes.
