There's an A&P in the hangar next to me, but he's in central Ohio. He's building a Sonex, seems popular and friendly but I only just met him so I'm unable to vouch for him. He did bring me a cold beer so he can't be all bad! I can put you in touch if you're interested & PM me.
 
Roger Tucker at OSU is as good as they come. Bobby Norman at 42I also comes highly recommended.
 
You say northern Kentucky but about another 1:15 or so, fly to KBWG. Co-Mar Aviation - Jessie is a hell of a mechanic and honest to the core. If all mechanics were like him I think general aviation would be different. He isn’t one of these mechanics that will hold your plane hostage either!
 
thanks all. Hoping to find someone close that can supervise me doing the maintenance and sign off. I think I have a cylinder that may need replaced (getting some blowby) and want to be part of the labor in swapping it out.
