Maybe not my most glamorous photo shoot, but 140s need love too!

As a 16 year old kid I thought a 140 was just the nuts...40 plus years later still have a soft spot for the thing..

I grew up flying in a 172... I thought it was the best plane ever and still have a soft spot for it.

Great looking 140! I really think the proportions on that airplane are perfect - it just looks great and I love the no wheel pants look. Someday I would love to have a 140 that looks exactly like yours.

I actually flew one last year when my airplane was in the shop. I flew it in IMC and shot an ILS approach with it. The "window crank" trim adjuster almost drove me nuts, but I think if I had one more approach to shoot I would have gotten used to it.

I want one.

The "window crank" trim adjuster almost drove me nuts,

Think of it as having an extension on it. Turn it counter-clockwise (anti-clockwise if you're an Aussie or a Brit) and the extension hits your forehead tilting your head back and your nose up. Turn it clockwise and it hits the back of your head forcing your nose down. All there is to it!

Strangely enough, that crank was one of the few things that WAS intuitive to me about flying and for whatever reasons I always turned it the correct direction from day one.

Dude, where were you when I was trying to get the hang of a Cherokee window roller! This is genius.

Right here! By the way, if you ever need to replace it, I can hook you up with the Studebaker parts vendor too.
