Military jet crashes into warehouse

Min fuel in the Rhino is 2.3k. I’ve landed with 1.7k but it was fairly uncomfortable. I think the numbers are based around boat ops where fuel is more critical than it is ashore, given that the runway can go foul at any time.

We (USAF) have become more conservative in the way we calculate our bingo's in training over the years. When I was a young guy and flew on clear VFR days, we would routinely get the "mission complete light" while in the pattern. That light is FUEL LOW which comes on at 1600+/- 200. The rule is still 2000# on initial or at the FAF for VFR days but I routinely see guys landing with 4-5k# these days. And they wonder why they get less flying time than we used to? Bah humbug, I'm just old now. haha!
