Will be flying a 172R (160 HP) for an IPC.... any one have the following power settings:

Level flight - 100 KTS
Level Flight - 90 KTS

500 FPM Descent - 100 KTS
450 FPM Descent - 90 KTS

Thanks

What are you used to? A 172SP?

Level flight at 100 was about 2300 rpm in the R model I flew. Descent was 1700 at 90 knots 500fpm with 10 degrees of flaps.

That sounds way off unless you're in the mountains. 2300rpm is over 80% power at 2,000 feet.

The R model has a very coarsely-pitched propeller. Expect a need to use less RPM than you're used to.

My notes say 1900rpm = ~95 knots, 2000rpm = ~100 knots in level flight with no flaps.

That's all I have. Sorry I don't have the descent profiles.
