Nice runway, well marked, wide and long makes it an easy one. Usually, if the wind allows, land towards the picture taker. If needed the turn would add 50 more feet to the landing area. Take off was usually away from the picture taker and was accomplished by taxying to the very end, left in the picture, full throttle by halfway through the turn around, make the corner, watch airspeed, at 50 indicated pull the nose up and it was usually flying in ground effect within 20-30 feet before the end of the airstrip.

This was near the confluence of the Squirrel River and the Omar River about 20 miles northwest of Kiana, AK, getting into the Baird Mountains.

Folks paid a lot of money to stay in luxury conditions and either fish or take a raft trip back to Kotzebue.

A couple from my latest flight-

The city of Hartford

A ray of sun on the water of the Long Island sound( these are my favorite shots to take— just love the rays of light hitting the water look!)

Just about to cross the Long Island Sound as the sun begins its journey to the horizon for the night!

Isn't that the same plane that crashed in the other thread?

We traveled from Detroit via Knoxville, TN and Fort Pierce, FL to the Bahamas. Back to the US via Key West before we headed to SNF. From there we flew to Charlotte, where we picked up four cats that needed a ride to Flint, MI. We got plenty IMC time Friday and today (Saturday). The plane is back in the hangar after an awesome vacation. :)

Arriving in the Bahamas! :)

Where is your camera mounted exactly? On the horizontal stabilizer? And with what mount? Thanks.

We used one of the adhesive mounts that came with the camera and attached it to the horizontal stabilizer.
The mount sticks like crazy, just make sure to clean the surface with alcohol and to install it in a pretty flat area.

That's probably my favorite mount location too. Here's my latest video of the Super Bloom down near Lake Elsinore. A second location is under the wing on an inspection panel, which gives me the option of putting it in one of six different locations, as the inspection panels are identical.
