I have a basic Sigtronics SPA-400 Intercom, 4 place.
What would be the most economical way to be able to play music over the comm system, and then secondly, be able to isolate my PAX so they can have music, but I can talk to ATC without interruption, when I choose?

None, the SPA-400 has neither an aux input nor an isolate feature.

I went with the 6000 and got the marker beacons and it isn't that much more expensive.

You can put in an "old school" GMA340 to do what you're looking for.

Probably around a grand plus installation. I have mine plumbed to a 696 for XM radio.

Also has the marker beacon if that's a need.

While not cheap the PM3000 is not crazy expensive either. Thanks for the lead! Just what I was looking for.

Doesn't seem crazy expensive until you get a quote to wire it all up.

If you're gonna go that route, just put in a new audio panel w/ built in intercom. On that kind of project, the labor is gonna far exceed the parts in basically any scenario.
