Hello all.

I would like to know how many inches/cm can a cessna yoke travel.

So from neutral position how far can you push the yoke forward and how far can you pull back?

Also how many degrees can you twist the yoke left and right?

Thank you all in advance and have a great night

Phil

From memory, our R182 full-range travel is about 11 1/2 inches. I'm familiar with that as the yoke on our sim (Redbird YK-1) is about the same, which is why we purchased that one. Also, the stop to stop travel in the longitudinal axis is almost 180 degrees in the R182, and Redbird. The 172 should be about the same.

So....did I guess right this was related to simming? Hope that helps!

Jim

PS- Welcome aboard @ POA!

Yep I am playing with the idea of making a force feedback yoke. Just working stuff out.

Thanks so much, that helps alot!

Hold the phone, Philippe!

Man, was I wrong!!! Went down to the sim and checked...total fore/aft is 4 1/2"!! Other direction is about 160 degrees. I'm still pretty sure it's the same as the R182, though.

Will use it as an excuse to go to the airport and drink their coffee. Stand by for further bulletins!

Lol thanks so much bud! I would really appreciate it. I dont have access to a cessna. I got big plans though : )
