$1 Billion Lotto Drawing

We must be getting pretty close to the point where you could buy a ticket for one of every possible number combination (~300 million) and come out ahead. Of course this assumes you don't share the jackpot with anyone...

I read an analysis of this once that talked about how it would take so long to print the physical tickets that you'd miss the drawing by months, or something to that effect.
 
I was joking with somebody about the lottery the other day. They said if they won, they'd buy a Cirrus Vision Jet just to taxi out to their Gulfstream.

Now THAT'S style!
 
The kids asked years ago with another large lottery amount what plane I'd buy? I said, "I wouldn't buy _a_ plane, I'd buy planes." :D

Most likely a fun plane or three, a good eastern US traveling plane and then a charter for anything further. Be a shame to have to go slumming in First Class to Australia though. Maybe something could get me there without having to rub elbows with the riff-raff (like me). ;)
 
If I was the big lottery winner... one thing I would do with some of the money is start an endowment for a few aviation scholarships. Some small amount ones for "post PPL" pilots looking to add on a rating. And a few "full ride" ones for deserving youngsters working through the university sponsored 141 schools.

And also buy me a well equipped late model A36, which currently leads my list of aircraft that fits the various missions I see for myself.

Sorry, it would be your civic duty to buy several NEW airplanes, thereby supporting the manufacturers as well as creating used airplanes for everyone else.

I look at it as employment insurance. If the pool at my office hits, I don't want to be the only one left in the office on Monday.

When my darling wife and I looked at a few houses there, I pointed out that most were big enough that we'd need a household staff to look after them. Well... if the house, a couple of new airplanes for the hangar, AND the household staff suddenly become pocket change... why not?

Well, I do know of an extremely well equipped less than 200 hour 2017 G36 that is for sale. Just a measly $750,000.00
 
Call me silly... but I'd keep my job, take care of a few wish list items and ask Cessna to restart the Cardinal line and build me a few brand new ones - maybe with upgraded HP, panel, and a few other improvements and such and a BRS in case something bad happens over a bad location.

I bought a ticket for this one - only my 2nd ticket ever. I'll need a bigger hangar to park the Gulfstream in.

Screw that. Buy Cessna and build em for everyone.
 
I purchased tickets.... figured I had just as much chance as winning one of the various raffle planes from EAA, AOPA, Wings of Hope, the museum at Hobby, ....
