I've always been amazed at how patient and helpful ATC is with people who, frankly, are really screwing things up.

That said KC center was kinda annoyed with me the other night coming in when I told them I was unable to start my descent until 40 miles from the airport, from FL250. I wasn't about to descend into a thunderstorm, though.

Man, I gave the tower controller a serious case of ATCAD. The PTT switch decided to give out right after take off with plans for a series on TnGs. However, it didn’t completely go out. He could here my requests but not my call sign. He had no idea who was making requests.

I’m wondering if a box of donuts would cure his symptoms.
