DELO is a diesel oil. Different formulations.

My old air cooled, horizontally opposed Porsche 911 ran just fine with automotive oil. Me thinks the answer is in 100LL, not the engine specifics.

If it was truely an old one, it did just fine with leaded fuel as well.

Anybody remember the Mobil AV-1 debacle, forcing them to remove the product from the market? The synthetic oil product caused lead sludge build-up.
