Can anyone ID where this goes under panel cessna?

Its brass or copper in color and fell on my leg after startup from under the pilot side panel. I didnt know what it was at first and thought it was my mic cord hitting my leg. Found it on the floor after flying. Im thinking some sort of retainer clip but dont know. It says “winchester electronics” on it. 1974 (actually 75 per serial) 172M

I think we have a winner!

And here I was going to say it is the "Jesus nut" holding the engine mount to the firewall. Boy would I have been completely wrong! ;)
 
Yes! I believe that is is. I unplugged the glideslope cable from old Narco Mk12a to the cdi. I bet that is where it goes. Thanks!!!
 
Thanks, actually it was very easy. I just googled "“winchester electronics” airplane" and started looking at images, took less than 2 minutes.
 
Well i lost the female socket screw that was holding the clip in place. I posted in the wanted forum. Looking for one of these screws.
