I'm kinda more intrigued by the c/s prop conversion than by the gear. And what is that just to the right of the mixture knob? It looks like a Cessna electric flap switch
Besides it being a tailwheel, that was one of the first things I noticed too. Wonder how that alters the flight performance?
 
All those modifications and up grades and he couldn't afford a intercom.
 
That's what happens when you break the nose gear.
 
Wow! That's what they've been missing all these years. I think I just became a fan of the Cherokee for the first time in my life. I think it's pretty dang cool.
 
If you must fly a Cherokee, that one is pretty cool.
