FOR SALE: 1980 Piper Dakota. Asking $105,000.
I don't have time to fly, so selling it. Life just gets in the way. Hangared at KPOU.
Very clean, well maintained Dakota. Always hangared.
Engine
• AFTT – 2571.9 (subject to change as plane is flown)
• SMOH – 979.8 (subject to change as plane is flown)
• 293.4 hours since major teardown on 8/19/13. Engine was opened and inspected within new limits by Magnum. New cam, lifters, all cylinders repaired and honed with new piston rings August 2013 at 2278.5 hours. Shop expectations of this work was that it would be at least 2000 hours before next major overhaul is necessary.

I was going to ask as well.
Plus, is the 530 waas already?
And is the GTS a GTX 330? I couldn't find info on a GTS model. (trying to find the costs of upgrading to ES for ADSB.

Performance is similar to a 182. Around 140kts and ~13gph. Yes...Garmin transponders=GTX

The Dakota was the last of the four Piper singles I have owned. I enjoyed owning and flying each of them, each had its advantages and quirks. But hands down I thought the Dakota was the best of all of them - decent useful load, economy of a fixed gear with the climb capability of a constant speed, short/soft/grass...did it all.
 
Is the Dakota wider than the Archer in the same way a 182 is wider than a 172, or the same airframe with a bigger engine?

It's the same cabin as the Archer.
