Stop it!
It's a house. With paint.

Log home (one story, fir, D-logs, 1500sf) with Sikkens Cetol ("1/23") put on over 10 years ago.

IF YOU Have done this before....Need to know how you'd completely strip it.
What gotchas to look out for.
Company (PPG) says, "chemical strippers or blast media, yes walnut shells ok"

I'm thinking chemical is going to damage the concrete porch, windows & doors.
Like the idea of a walnut shell blaster. (Off to ebay to see what they go for.)

Blast the living bejeejus out of it with a power washer, then scrape every inch with a paint scraper.

Apparently power washers will lift the wood fibers, not favorable result?

Avoid power washers on log homes!!
Not only will it F up the wood grain but water will ingress between logs.

Heat gun, scraper, sander, in that order. It ain’t fun.

Yes, for a surface as big as a log cabin, no fun for sure.

It can be tolerable, though, for something smaller. I didn’t mind it, for the door I did last summer. That took about five hours.
